The Senate Research and Higher Degrees Committee (SRHDC) calls applications from researchers of WUSL for the award of Publications in Indexed Journals in the year 2025. A Certificate of recognition will be given to each researcher, who satisfies the selection criteria for the award, at the Wayamba University Research Congress 2026, which is scheduled to be held on November 2026.

Selection Criteria

  1. The paper must be published in an indexed journal#.
  2. The author must be a permanent academic staff member of WUSL.
  3. The Year of publication must be in the year 2025.
  4. Affiliation of the author must be “Wayamba University of Sri Lanka, Kuliyapitiya/Makandura/Labuyaya, Sri Lanka”
  5. The corresponding email address should be a University email.
  6. Publication year of the article should be the year it appeared in the journal volume and issue, and the suggested citation given on the journal website.

#Journals in the following indexes of Web of Science are considered for the awards. 

  • Science Citation Index Expanded (SCIE)
  • Social Sciences Citation Index (SSCI)
  • Arts & Humanities Citation Index (AHCI)

Method of Applying

Fill the Google Form in the link below before the deadline. Please provide the correct Digital Object Identifier (DOI) number of the publication. 

The DOI number is a standardized unique number given to almost all articles by publishers to identify a particular publication. 

To find a DOI number for an article, look on the first page and in the header or footer information. If you see “DOI:” followed by a string of numbers (eg 10.1109/NAFOSTED.2017.8108073), you will know that you have found it.
