B.Sc Food Quality Management (External) degree welcomed the first batch to the program and the attempt of expanding the food family became success. The Inauguration Ceremony for the B. Sc. Food Quality Management (External) degree, academic year 2020/2021 of Faulty of Livestock, Fisheries, and Nutrition, Wayamba University of Sri Lanka was held on 31st of January 2021 at the Mini Auditorium of the Faculty. The Faculty joined hand in hand with Sri Lanka Standard Institute to make this dream in to a reality. The Vice Chancellor, Wayamba University of Sri Lanka Senior Professor Udith K. Jayasinghe was the chief guest, Director of external degree, Professor O. D. A. N. Perera, Dean of the Faulty of Livestock, Fisheries, and Nutrition, Professor B. P. A. Jayaweera, The Initiator of the idea in external degree, Emeritus Professor T.S.G. Fonseka, Academic Coordinator of the external degree Dr. K. D. P. P. Gunathilake, academic and non-academic staff members of the Faulty of Livestock, Fisheries, and Nutrition participated in this occasion. The Director of the Sri Lanka Standard Institute, Dr. Siddhika Senaratne addressed the gathering and welcomed the students in to the degree program. Students were delighted about this new step of the journey and this program will strengthens up the students to become successful personalities in the future
