The academic and non-academic staff members of the Department of Biotechnology together with members of Biotechnology Society (BitSoc) of the Faculty of Agriculture and Plantation Management (FAPM) in Wayamba University of Sri Lanka (WUSL) stepped forward extending their generous support in terms of financial and technical assistance for the construction of new science laboratory to the school in the remote area of Kegalle District, Malwana Jayanthi Vidyalaya, Malwana, Pothukoladeniya, Kegalle with the aim of uplifting science education in the school community. This Newly built laboratory was ceremonially opened on 25th March 2021 with the participation of the Faculty staff members. The school principal, teachers, students and parents were greatly thankful for helping to make students’ dream a success.
