On 6th October 2024, the IEEE Student Branch of Wayamba University of Sri Lanka successfully hosted WayaXtreme 3.0, a 12-hour online competitive programming event that marked a significant milestone in the branch’s history. For the first time, the event featured an international collaboration with foreign IEEE Student Branches from the IEEE SB CET (Kerala Section), IEEE SB LBSITW (Kerala Section), and IEEE SB UPBM (Colombian Caribbean Section). With that, the IEEE Student Branch of the Wayamba University of Sri Lanka marked a special benchmark in the history of IEEEXtreme coding competitions as the main organisers of the first-ever collaborative IEEEXtreme competition in the Sri Lankan section.
