Wayamba University of Sri Lanka (WUSL) won the Silver Award for its Annual Report and Accounts– 2019 under the University category at the Best Annual Reports and Accounts Awarding Ceremony organized by the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Sri Lanka (CA) in association with the Association of Public Finance Accountants of Sri Lanka (APFASL) held on 29th December 2021 at the BMICH, Colombo. Mr. W. A. Don Chithrananda, Registrar of the University received the award on behalf of the University.
The APFASL, which is the public sector wing of the CA conducts the award competition with the prime objective of helping improve the quality of annual reports and accounts issued by the public sector organizations thereby enhancing transparency, accountability and good governance practices. This year, APFASL had received a total of 97 applications from public sector institutions.
